JROTC is designed to help high school students learn the values of citizenship, leadership, personal responsibility, and gain a sense of accomplishment, while instilling self esteem, teamwork, and self discipline. Its overall purpose is To Motivate Young People to be Better Citizens. The program supports high school graduation and strongly encourages college enrollment afterward. JROTC provides students opportunities for total development. It helps produce successful students and productive adults by assisting them to:
- Appreciate ethical values and principles that underlie good citizenship
- Develop leadership potential while working cooperatively with others
- Think logically and communicate more effectively with others, both orally and in writing
- Understand the importance of high school graduation for a successful future
- Participate in Community Service Projects and Community Service
- To develop mental management abilities and develop the skills necessary to work effectively as a member of a team
- Conduct Historical Staff Rides
- Participate in Adventure Training and Confidence Courses
